London City Airport is one of the newest airports in the UK today, having only opened in 1987. At the moment, it has only one terminal and is smaller than the other London area airports. In fact, by 2030, London City Airport will be able to service over 8 million passengers every year thanks to the major expansion plans in place.
During its first year in operation, London City Airport served 15,000 passengers, but that has leaped up to 3.2 million in 2008.
