YOTEL at Gatwick and Heathrow Airport
YOTEL is a Yo! Company hotel brand created by Simon Woodroffe OBE and Gerard Greene.
The idea was conceived by Simon during a first class flight with British Airways flight. He decided to mix the language of airline travel with a touch of Japanese influence into a small luxurious cabin.
Gerard who had spent a lot of time in boring, expensive hotels met with Simon in 2002 and secured funding for a prototype cabin; this is when they started to evolve Simon's idea into reality. Together they embarked on an incredible journey to open the first airport hotels at Gatwick and Heathrow in 2007.
YOTEL are passionate about hotels and their aim was to create a 'First class experience at an affordable price'.
YOTEL cabins are smaller than hotels rooms but using clever design they offer beautifully designed, flexible smart space in which to relax, refresh, connect or sleep.
The UK Airport hotels are situated inside the terminal building as YOYEL believes this gives the customer the ultimate experience of being minutes from departure and arrivals gates.
Cabins are available to book by the hour with check in and check out times totally flexible. YOTEL have three cabin types at airports: 'Standard' bunk style single cabin, 'Premium' double cabins and 'Premium' twin cabins.
UK Airports locations are Gatwick Airport, South Terminal and Heathrow Airport, Terminal 4
Some of the YOTEL cabin features include:
- Automated check in and out
- Free WiFi
- Monsoon showers with all over body wash
- Flat screen TV's
- Workstations with multi power points
